At Rosendale, all children from year 2 upwards learn a modern foreign language during curriculum time.  

At Rosendale we teach French using a highly trained teacher.

We celebrate Chinese New Year as a whole school and have a languages celebration day during the summer term.

Rosendale was awarded Confucius Classroom Status by Hanban for the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.  In December 2015 we were delighted to win the Confucius Classroom of the Year Award at the Confucius Institute Conference in Shanghai.   In 2017 we were awarded the International Schools Award by the British Council. We host a South London Primary Languages Hub meeting for the Association of Language Learning (ALL) every term for MFL teachers to share good practice.
