History

Our history curriculum makes sure that there is a clear progression of knowledge and skills from early years, through key stage 1 and key stage 2. 

Pupils at Rosendale will gain a coherent knowledge about the past and will be curious to know more. They will be encouraged to ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh evidence, sift arguments and develop perspective and judgement.

History helps pupils to understand the complexity of people’s lives, the process of change, the diversity of societies and relationships between different groups, as well as their own identity and the challenges of their time.
